3rd ECLAC Summit to Deepen Latin American Unity Imprimir

celacHavana, Jan 23 (Prensa Latina) The next summit of the Economic Community for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) to be held in Costa Rica should be led to strengthen unity to face the attempts for destabilization against progressive governments of the region.

 

This 3rd ECLAC Summit will undoubtedly discuss on the economic war imposed to Venezuela and the subversive actions and media campaigns against several governments in various countries of the area.

The member countries of this integration mechanism will be supporting the negotiation project for the end of the conflict in Colombia and demand the definitive cease of the blockade to Cuba.

Another main topic, will be the debates for the need of a greater cooperation for the struggle to poverty, hunger, diseases and the fundamental rights of the peoples.

The text said the enemies of ECLAC, try to distract attention, generating national conflicts, disturbing domestic order and creating possible confrontations between neighboring countries of the area.

The text adds that it is not a revelation that the most conservative and always annexation sectors in the region, encouraged from the US and Europe, see the progress made by Latin America and the Caribbean in recent years with a lot of distrust.

Facing these challenges and overcome the obstacles that will surely be filed in addition to the complex economic, social and environmental problems facing mankind, are the priority tasks ECLAC will henceforth to avoid setbacks, the text concludes.
